When the level increases, the items are immediately added. ![]() Items become available in Gloomhaven based on the Prosperity level, or, in Frosthaven, on the level of the Craftsman. Gloomhaven Campaign Items Prosperity Items They are immediately added to the pool of available purchasable or craftable items and may be obtained by paying their cost once back during the City or Outpost phase. Several items, typically marked with a blue background, are considered "designs" and not actual items. Players may not have duplicate items within their inventory, regardless of whether the item is active. Additionally, if a player picks up an item during a level, they may use the item as if it had been brought to the scenario even if it means the player would be over their limit. These are baseline statistics: An item like the Cloak of Pockets allows for more items and can modify the limits. The game is meant to be played as part of a campaign, where a group of players will use the accompanying Scenario Book to string together a series of adventures, unlocking new content for the game as they progress. Small items, which have the symbol, have a level that is a number equal to half the players level (all fractions rounded up), which would make it range between 1 and 5. Gloomhaven Game Rules Gloomhaven is a cooperative game of battling monsters and advancing a player's own individual goals. A player may use one item in the category, one in the category, one in the category, up to two items in the category, which means only one if it has the symbol. Players may own as many items as they please, but may only actively use a number depending on party size. These can be obtained in a variety of ways, including purchasing from shops (that might become available at higher prosperity levels), finding blueprints of the item to craft at a later date, from Treasure obtained by opening treasure boxes, rewards from completing quests, road events, or city events, or, in Frosthaven, crafting from raw resources.
